We offer several different types of marine surveying service.  From a basic pre-purchase survey, through to the more technically detailed Osmosis survey and Repair Specification.  With our history of professional boatbuilding we know exactly what to look for in all types of vessel, and where to find it.  You can be assured that any repair specification has been carefully though out, and will be based upon the most efficient and reliable method of repair.

Pre-Purchase Survey:
A Pre-purchase survey includes the inspection of the hull structure, deck structure, cabin structure, cockpit structure, spars, through hull fittings, keel attachment, windows and portlights, engine installation (not the internal mechanical condition), electrical installation, water systems, sails, rigging (from deck level only if mast is stepped) and condition of the interior furnishings.

Valuation:
Insurance companies may require a valuation for insurance. This involves an inspection of the vessel and research into current market values of similar vessels.

Damage Inspection:
After damage has occurred, the full extent of the damage and a repair specification will be required.

Insurance Survey:
A condition inspection to identify any defects that may make the vessel an insurance risk, and to assess the steps required to rectify them.

Osmosis Inspection:
The inspection of the underwater area for signs of blistering, wicking and an assessment of the moisture content. The fluid from a selection of blisters is Ph tested to confirm that it is acetic acid.

Tonnage Measurement:
For British Registration, all vessels must have a tonnage measurement.
